Easter Poems

August 25th, 2009

I was torn between putting this in Easter Poems or Childrens Poems. It fits either one. The picture of this baby bunny I took while walking to the park. From the corner of my eye I saw a tiny bunny in the corner of a neighbor’s yard. I love the zoom on my camera and this is one of those days when it came in most handy. You would never know to look at this little guys eye watching you that he was small enough to fit into the palm of my hand.

And so it is with great pleasure I present to you this note from a child’s heart.

A Note to Mr. Bunny

I found a scribbled note
Beneath my small boy’s head
Addressed to Mr. Bunny
And this is what it said
Dear Sir, I’ve got a favor
I’d like to ask of you
But first I’d like to know
If you are real and true
You see my bigger brother
Says it’s really Dad and Mom
Who hides the Easter baskets
For me and little Tom
Anyway I lost two teeth
So if you’re really you
Please bring me something soft to eat
Cause it’s so hard to chew
